Besides the natural material, it is our precise production, the technical knowledge of our staff and accurate work processes that create your perfect Thielemeyer furniture from individual components. In creating these units, we appreciate perfection and quality – and remain unmistakable.
Wood appeals to our senses in completely different ways. With a wide spectrum of colours and grain patterns, as well as its natural character, wood creates a positive feeling in the room that is immediately passed on to the occupant. The manufacture of our solid wood furniture therefore begins with the careful selection of the correct raw material by our highly qualified experts.
At Thielemeyer, to get the best out of the wood selected, we employ true specialists and renowned designers. They ensure the wood retains its unique radiance and authentic appearance. Together with our constructors, the designers ensure that this particularly graceful look can be achieved in series production and that the result will be a joy to customers all over the world.
Immediately upon delivery of our raw materials, we pay close attention. Large amounts of high-quality materials arrive at our premises every day. With our experience, we ensure that this living raw material is stored carefully, so that the quality and individuality of the wood are completely retained.
Elaborately profiled furniture components could previously only be manufactured with a great deal of manual effort on the part of the craftsman. Today every single unit of furniture is given its own manufacturing programme, based on the specifications of a designer and his understanding of form. Some special procedures which give the units a durable and high-quality surface are employed in achieving the finish. The result: an excellent surface finish.
As it is the details that are important in high quality products, craftsmanship is irreplaceable even in machine-based production. This applies, in particular, to the monitoring of production just as it does to the evaluation of quality and removal of even the slightest fault. These tasks require a keen eye and a feeling for the material which a machine cannot supply – the difference between a good piece of furniture and a perfect one.
We only employ high-quality metal brackets for assembling our products. This way our furniture achieves an above-average lifespan. The carcases of the units are connected traditionally with wooden dowels or high-grade, full-metal mini Rastex connectors. Our wood technicians carefully pre-assemble the numerous individual components made from a wide variety of materials, by hand, before they pass through our internal quality management system.
A customer order often consists of many parts that have to be carefully commissioned and checked for completeness. This task has absolute priority at Thielemeyer. When the delivery has been fully prepared, all the components are packaged securely and made ready for transport.
